Springfield Farmers Market
A seasonal Saturday market on the courthouse lawn — Robertson County produce, honey, baked goods and country ham.

What to expect at Springfield Farmers Market
Every Saturday morning from May through October, the north lawn of the Robertson County Courthouse fills with 30 to 50 vendors selling what Robertson County actually grows. Tomatoes, corn, peaches, honey, jams, sourdough, tamales, breakfast burritos, cut flowers, occasionally trout and always country ham. It is small enough to walk in 20 minutes and good enough to spend two hours if you talk to people, which is the point.
Peak season is July and August when the tomatoes and peaches are at their best. Come before 9am for the widest selection — the good bread and the pastured eggs go by 10. Vendors take cash and cards; a few take Venmo. There's usually a live musician on the courthouse steps and coffee from a food truck at the corner of Main. The market accepts SNAP and doubles it up to $30 through the state's Double Up Food Bucks program.
Combine with breakfast at Bella's (Sunday brunch is a day off, but the market spills into weekend energy on the square), or grab breakfast burritos directly from the market and eat on a courthouse bench. The Wednesday evening market runs occasionally in high summer and is quieter, cooler and worth checking the market's Facebook page for. Parking is free all around the square on Saturdays.
