What to expect at Bunny's Attic Antique Mall

Bunny's Attic is the reason antique-hunters drive up from Nashville. Two full floors of a restored square-side building house about 40 individual dealer booths, each with its own style — one booth is nothing but 1940s kitchenware, another is Civil War letters and buttons, a third is mid-century furniture in genuinely nice condition. It is well-lit, well-priced (Robertson County prices, not East Nashville prices) and the staff will hold things at the counter while you wander.

Plan on an hour minimum, two if you're a serious shopper. There's a small coffee counter on the ground floor and benches on each landing. Pricing is set by individual dealers — some negotiate, some don't; the counter can text a dealer for a lower offer on higher-priced items. Ask. The second floor has the best furniture and the primitives; the ground floor is stronger for smalls, jewellery and books.

Weekday mornings are the quietest. Saturday afternoon is the busiest and has the highest turnover of new arrivals. First Friday evenings the store stays open till 8pm as part of the downtown art walk. Combine with Antiques on Main (across the square) for the full antiquing loop. Bring a measuring tape if you're looking at furniture — Bunny's will hold items for 48 hours with a deposit.
